My beautiful Brynn is 6! She had a fun birthday party with Chloe. Grandma and Grandpa Smith came over and her Tenney Cousins. Brynn is still a good sport on sharing her birthday with Chloe. We will see how long it last. (If you didn't notice their birthday's are 1 day apart) I can't say enough good things about Brynn. She is a joy to have in our home! We love you Brynn Larae!

Chloe is 1! Man time goes by fast. We love our sweet, funny, beautiful, lazy Chloe. She is almost 14 months now and she still isn't walking. She is a very cautious little girl. She'll probably be walking soon. :( I am ok with her being a baby as long as she wants!

Blogging obviously has not and is not a priority to me anymore. It's become something else on the list to do. I'm not a fan of the list! Sorry to all my fans that have read my blog in the past! I hate to let down the fans. lol!

Things we do with Dad

Have I ever mentioned what a great Dad my husband is. My kids and I adore him, that's why him working in New Mexico has been so difficult. We are so grateful for his job but sad it takes him away from us so much. He is great when he comes home though...the girls love every moment he is with them and I have to say we cherish every moment as well. We love and miss you Doug!

He just got done feeding the baby. Brynn always likes to get in on the pictures. :)

He cooked us dinner. He is always sweet and patient to let the girls help him.

The other day I came into the girls room and found Doug reading to them.

I am so happy that he is all mine! I count my blessings everyday that you chose me. Love you Doug!

These are pictures of our trip to the valley we took a couple weeks ago. Our girls were so good that trip. I felt the need to document it so I can remember that they have the capability to not drive my nuts on a trip. jk They usually are pretty good, they just have had moments in the past that have not been so great. This is probably the 5th time Alise has slept in the car on the way to the valley and she is almost 4. When she was a baby she would scream the whole way. Thankfully they grow up.

Christmas Eve we went to the Pioneer Park Church and had Green Chili. Brett helped his dad Doug Brewer make Green Chili...Yummy! We have been doing this for 4 or 5 years now. (green chili on Christmas Eve with the Brewer Family) I love this tradition and hope we do it forever. It was hard not having Charlayne there with us. I know it was not an easy Christmas for the Brewer family and my heart went out to all of them. We love them so much and they will continue to be in our prayers!

We went to my parents home after dinner and had a Christmas program and then a testimony meeting. It was a good meeting. I'm grateful for the spirit of love that was present. I'm blessed to be apart of such a great family. I love each one of the dearly.

The kids loved opening their presents and were happy with what they got. Christmas was a success and I'm grateful it's over. :)

My husband got home from NM last weekend and decided it was time to get out the Christmas tree. It wasn't the first thing I wanted to do when he got home (I was hoping for a shower and a break) but I knew he was right and the girls loved it. We only did the top of the tree instead of the full 6 foot tall tree. We only have so much time and Doug had to leave for his meeting. I love this picture of Doug and the girls. I'm grateful for my husband for pushing me to do things even when I don't feel like it.

I was downloading the pictures on my camera and came across these pictures that Doug took. He is such a good Dad. Our girls love him to death. I love the pictures of Brynn feeding Chloe. Of course Doug has them on top of the table doing it...the most dangerous place. hehe Then the girls watching their morning cartoons...followed by a picture of Brynn and Leesee's "beautiful castles" made with blocks and books. My girls are such good friends. I hope they stay that way!

Some of the many reasons I love Doug...he doesn't worry about the small stuff and is always involving our girls in what he is doing. I wish I were as good at that as he is. I love the way he loves our girls and the time he spends with them.

I love the foot kicking Alise in the face. Too funny!

This is Doug's idea of feeding Chloe a bottle. lol The girls love to do it but I don't know how much Chloe actually gets in her belly. I started to wean her last weekend. I've decided I would like my body back and my hormones to go back to normal. Under our current living circumstances I think this is best for all involved. lol I nursed Brynn for 6 months, Alise for 9 and Chloe 8 months. It's as good as you're going to get Chloe. :)

This year we stayed in Snowflake and had dinner at my mom's. Everybody but Valee and Dustin (they live in TX and should be here for Christmas yay!) were there. It was yummy food and we enjoyed seeing everybody. We always have many things to be grateful for...especially this time of year. I'm grateful to my Heavenly Father that has blessed me with so much...I try to live worthy of everything He has blessed me with. Happy Holidays!

My friend Mimi Connolly and I were hanging out and bored. We had our 50 girls running around us...ok 7 not 50....close enough! I looked at Lise ....

and said....Let's cut her hair! Mimi was so excited, she said she was just waiting for me to ask for months. Poor Lisee has the thinnest stringy hair. I think Mimi did a good job.

Soccer

Brynn's first year of soccer was a success despite many collisions with others. A few tears and assurance she was ok. It was so much fun to watch her play. She was usually the smallest but just as aggressive as any of them.

My cousin Lyndsay Lyman was Brynn's coach and did such a good job. Brynn loved being on Colby and Ellie's team....they were in preschool together so they already knew each other well.

Alise fell off the bunkbed ladder (for the 3rd or 4th time...she doesn't learn from her mistakes, obviously). This time did the trick...she broke her arm. I thought that is was just a spranged wrist because it didn't swell or bruise and she still could use it...sometime with no pain. I think she must have a high tolerance for pain. I didn't take her to the Dr. until 8 days later...Doug didn't think it was broke either and said he was just pacifing me to take her in and make sure if it was broke or not. My first thought after she fell was that she broke it but then she didn't respond like I thought she would...gotta trust our first instincts!

These are the pictures of getting the cast on and then finally getting it off (what a pain in the butt the cast is during bath time!)....of course the coveted sucker at the end. :)

So my husband has been working in New Mexico building a home for a month now. He will be working there for 2 or 3 more months. He works there during the week and comes home on the weekend. This is bitter sweet because we need the work and I'm very grateful for it...however, I'm not very good and being a single mom to a 5, 3 and 6 month old. It seems I never get anything done anymore and all I do is break up fights (between Brynn and Alise) and feed kids/babies. I know I am blessed and I have a lot to be grateful for but a break would be nice sometimes. This is why I don't post very much lately...life is not always good or pretty. It's life and we are all just trying to do our best and enjoy it along the way. It's just hard to enjoy it sometimes.

I can't believe my first baby is old enough to go to school! It has been a bitter sweet experience. I forgot my camera when we took Brynn to school the first day (it was just the parents orientation) so my sister in law Megan took these pictures at the school for me...Thanks Meg! Brynn and Jace, her son, are in the same class... Mrs. Romney. Brynn has been ready for school for a long time. She loves to learn and seems to pick up on these pretty quick. I took some pictures of her and Brooke (I was watching Brooke for Star because she had an appointment in the valley) waiting for the bus to pick them up for school. They were so excited and not very patient waiting for the bus...it fifteen minutes later than they said. It was crazy for me...watching Brynn get on a big ol' bus. It just didn't seem right. The letting go process begins... It's just soooo hard!

I have been slacking on my blog lately! Having three young kids has thrown me off a little. Anyway...Brynn did the Joseph play in July. They had practise once a week for a couple months to learn the music and then the week prior to the show it was every day for three hours to learn the dancing. Then the shows itself were 2 hours twice a day. I thought I would be having to drag her there by the end of it because she is only 5 and her attention span is only so long. I was wrong...she loved doing it. All of it! I didn't have to force her to go to practises of the performances once. It was so fun going to the performances and watching her. She was so good! She is so precious. They wouldn't let us take pictures of the performance but I got a few at home and at the auditorium...

The little boy 2 kids to the left of Brynn fell off the float about a minute after this picture was taken...Notice he has long blonde hair and a green shirt like Brynn...Doug thought it was Brynn (it freaked him out) when he went to get Brynn off the float. The kid ended up being ran over by the float and it broke his pelvis. He was airvacked to Flagstaff I think. The parents don't have insurance so the whole thing was pretty sad. He's ok now.

Alise turned 3 July 10th. We went to Kung Fu Panda in Lakeside with Grandma and Grandpa Smith and most of our Tenney cousins. It was a cute movie, you should see it. After the movie we went to Wal-Mart, Papa Johns then home and had cup cakes and ice cream. It was a fun day. As you can see in the pictures...Alise had a great time. She is so full of personality! We love you Alise Dawn!

Willis Reunion 2008

The last weekend in June was our Willis Family Reunion (My mom's side of the family). We have gone camping since I was a little girl every summer and have a testimony meeting in the forest on Sunday. I always had a blast when I was a little girl and still enjoy going to the reunion. It was a lot easier when I was little though! Sleeping in a tent was exciting for Brynn and Alise...not so much for me. I was worried about Chloe getting too cold all night so I didn't get much rest. It was nice to be with everybody at the reunion. I'm glad we went.

Valley Trip

We stayed with Doug's parents Father's Day weekend, which happened to be our 7th Anniversary as well. The kids went swimming twice a day while we were there. They had a blast with a lot of cousin that came to visit. It was good to see all the family we had been missing. I was on bed rest for a couple months before Chloe came and we weren't able to go down until Chloe got a little bigger...so it's been along time since we've been to the valley. I can't say that I've missed the heat.

I have a cute story about Brynn palying T-Ball. This was her first year to play and she has loved it. Of course she doesn't know the rules very well yet. Well, during one of her games she was playing the catcher and the last batter hit the ball and the defensive team is supposed to throw the ball home to the catcher and they are supposed to tag the players out before they touch the plate. Well some little kid threw the ball to Brynn and it landed between home and 1st base. Brynn got the ball and everybody is yelling for Brynn to tag the players out. She should have ran over to the plate but instead she started tagging the kids right before they were back in their dugout....remember the ball landed between home and 1st base. The kids were a little confused why Brynn was tagging them if they already touched home plate. Brynn was very serious at tagging them too. It was so funny! She's so cute!

Sunday was a good day. My baby's blessing days are always a little stressful (becuase of the luncheon), but worth it. Doug gave Chloe a beautiful blessing. A lot of family and friends were able to come and support our family, to which we are grateful! We know with gas prices so high that it was a sacrifice and we appreciate your support! Here are a few pictures we got. I wish I wouldn't have been so tired and take better ones of Chloe by herself. I'm sad we didn't get any pictures of Chloe with Doug's parent either. Oh well...live and learn.

Brynn's Preschool Graduation May 7th, 2008

Brynn had a lot of fun going to "school" at mine and four different mom's homes this year (Lyndsay Lyman, Amy Johnson, Becki Hulse, & Natalie Lundberg). We had a little graduation for the kids - Brynn, Colby, Caleb, Dekon & Ellie at Becki's house. It was really cute and the kids loved it. At one point during the graduation they had the kids say what they wanted to be when they grew up and Brynn said she wanted to be a singer. lol I had never heard that one. She's been in Bonnie Popovich's chior for a year and she just loves it...so maybe thats where. We are proud of Brynn and excited for her to go to kidergarten!

Wednesday morning Brynn woke up with hives all over her body and she said it hurt when she walked. I gave her benadryl and called the doctor. She goes to Dr. Bailey in Pinetop so we took her there at noon. By then the benadryl had helped the hives start to fade a little and she wasn't concerned by her not wanting to walk...she just said if the benadryl was working she couldn't do anything and just to watch her. So, we went to wal-mart after the appt and Brynn started with a fever and the hives started in full force again. I gave her more benadryl then at 4:00 pm we noticed her feet were swollen. Then by seven her feet, hands and then lips started to swell. I took Alise and Chloe to my mom's and we headed to the hospital. Brynn had had 5 shots eight days earlier and we had read on the mumps measles shot that hives and joint pain "could" be a bad allergic reaction and to seek help immediately. So Doug and I were really scared that something really bad was happening. Poor Brynn was so scared to be going to the hospital, by the time we got to the light in Show Low she was saying she was going to throw up...I think because she was so scared. They gave her an iv when we got there (which was hell!) She was crying she was scared, I want to go home...please don't poke me. It was too much for me! Doug held her down and I held her legs. It was so sad. Thank goodness they only had to poke her once! They gave her some steroids, more benadryl and ib profen. It took about 6 hours for the swelling to start to come down. I had to leave the hospital and midnight so I could go home and feed Chloe...she is such a good baby, she waited 6 hours to feed. My Dad came and picked me up and helped Doug give her a blessing which gave us comfort. It was still very hard to leave because she was still so swollen and there was no improvement then.

She came home the next day with the swelling a lot better. She has to take steroids for 5 days and a perscription stronger than benadryl for a week. Today is Saturday and the swelling is gone but the hives have been bad. Today is the first little improvement of the hives. We believe that she will heal completely in a few days. We are so thankful that it was this and nothing permanent.

Brynn's 5th B-Day

Brynn turned 5 the day after Chloe was born (April 13th). We are happy they both have their own birth days. Brynn waited patiently all day until we got back from the hospital (around 5:00 pm) to blow out her candles and open presents. When she was done opening her presents, she said in a very excited and grateful voice..."these presents are fantastic!" She is so precious!!! Doug and I are so proud of our Brynn. She is such a great big sister! She and Alise are the best of friends and Brynn is always quick to share or do anything to make her sister or anyone around her happy. She is so kind, giving, loving, SMART, and has a strong desire to do what is right. I am so thankful that you were sent to me Brynn. Your Dad and I will love you forever!!!!

Chloe Kae April 12, 2008

Chloe Kae Chlarson was born April 12, 2008 @ 2:40 pm. She weighed 6 lb 1 oz which makes her my biggest baby. (Brynn was 5' 2, Alise 5' 5) I went in Friday night @ 1:15 am and had contractions 3 minutes apart but dialated slowly...they gave me an epidural around 8:30 am and started me on pit...I LOVE EPIDURALS!!! She was posteriery just like my other 2 babies (which makes it harder to push them out because it makes their head a lot bigger then if they would come out the right way) plus her hands were by her face which is not good! Very ouchy! Nothing a few stiches won't take care of. Today is day 4 and I'm happy to say she is a very good baby!!! She is sleeping a lot and she doesn't spit up like my other two did. She's just perfect and we feel so blessed!!!

We really had a very nice Easter. The girls loved their baskets and dresses. They always love to pose for the camera. They are so precious!

I was very happy and surprised how patient they were to wait for pictures before they opened their baskets! Good job girls. :)

Playing in the Snow Feb 4th

We were all so happy when we woke up and saw all the snow outside. It's been a long time since we've had a big snow. What a blessing to this community! We are thankful that our prayers have been answered.

We went to Eva's and ate then we came home and had an ice cream cake to celebrate Doug's 33rd birthday. It was just our family and my parents. lol We are probably going to go to Greer this weekend with Doug's good friend Spencer Platt and wife Kelly and eat at Molly Butler's Resteraunt. Molly Butler is Doug's great grandmother and we've never been there so I told Doug we could do that for his B-Day.

We went to my Uncle Mark's cabin in Pinetop for New Years. My Mom's side of the family was there. Brynn and Alise were the only kids there after Lyndsay left so they got a lot of attention, which they thoroughly enjoyed!!! The adults kept asking them to act out different animals which they did very well. We all ate dinner then played games until midnight. It was a very relaxing holiday.

Christmas Eve we get together with Kristi's family and friends and have green chile that Doug Brewer makes...then we go to my parents home and have a testimony meeting. After the meeting we open presents from Grandma & Grandpa and stockings the following morning. Christmas was so good this year!!!! Everybody was there and the spirit at our meeting was wonderful! The girls loved being with there cousins and couldn't wait for Santa to come. My mom gives us money to get gifts for her grandkids....so my mom gave Brynn a kids digital camera, which she loves and takes great pictures too!!! Alise got a doll (Lily) that teaches her how to count and stuff like that...she also loves it! Christmas couldn't have been better...We are very blessed!

Brynn 4 really wanted to be a carebear for Halloween but we couldn't find a costume that fit her in time. We already had one in Alise's size so Brynn was a little jealous at first, but being the good big sister she is....she was happy that Alise was a carebear. Brynn's Grandma Rhonda bought her Snow White costume with pretty "sparkly" shoes....she was happy and beautiful!!!

Alaska Vacation - Aug. 2007

Doug and I got to go on a 7 day cruise to Alaska with an LDS Tour. My parents, Grandparents, Aunt Stacey and Uncle Gary Farr, Uncle Mark, sister Kalee & Travis Tenney and younger brother Matthew all got to go too. We wish everybody could have come but schedules didn't mesh. It was so relaxing and fun!!! The food was awesome! Jana Hatch, one of my brother's friends from H.S. watched our girls and did an excellent job. Anyway here is a slide show of some pictures.

This was my favorite spot in Alaska. I love this picture too!
